10 Steps to success
Introduction
This 10 step process is designed
to follow our natural learning process. From
childhood we are taught simple words (vocabulary). From there, we
learn simple sentences (phrases), followed by reading, writing, and
proper grammar.
We follow this same pattern with
our 10 step process. It is also designed this way for those
who do
not wish to learn to read and write Hangul, but simply to
communicate verbally with Koreans. These people may stop after step
4.
The
Steps
1) Study
phonetic vocabulary. (Korean / English phonetic dictionary -
Travel companion edition)
2) Test with
flash cards (column 1) and word games.
3) Study
phonetic phrases, (English worksheets)
Note: Korean grammar / sentence structure is: [subject]
[object] [verb].
4) Test with
flash cards. (Column 2)
Break:
Introduce yourself to Hangul through one of our recommended
resources (under "Hangul Education").
5) Study /
memorize the Hangul alphabet. (English / Hangul worksheets -
Hangul Alphabet.)
6) Test with
flash cards. (Column 3 - Hangul alphabet)
7) Study
Hangul vocabulary. (English / Hangul worksheets)
8) Test with
flash cards. (Column 3)
9) Study
Hangul phrases. (English / Hangul worksheets)
10) Test with
flash cards. (Column 3) |
